The current health reform program has included a 5% tax on cosmetic procedures including Botox and other cosmetic procedures. The funds used would go towards financing the new health care reforms. Unfortunately, the group of people who would be penalized with this program would be middle class women. Physicians would be tax collectors and forced to negotiate the bureaucracy and red tape that often accompanies tax collecting and reporting.
