Water assisted liposuction is the newest innovation in liposuction. It is performed under tumescent anesthesia (the fluid placed in the area of liposuction contains numbing medication). Fluid is placed in the area of sculpting using a strawlike cannula. Fat is then removed using a cannula that has a jet sprayer at it's tip. The jet spray of fluid loosens the fat so that it can be suctioned less traumatically. The fat that is removed can then be transferred to other parts of the body. January is the time of year for New Year's Resolutions. The most common resolution is to lose weight. There are many programs out there that work, but in order to keep that weight off long term, you must address the inner issues that caused you to put the weight on in the first place.
