This is Dr. Kelley. I am 1 month out from my Ultherapy treatment and am definitely seeing some results. My neck is tighter, jawline is tighter and the area under the chin is also tighter. I had a particularly aggressive treatment which did cause me some discomfort, but it was worth it.A great result without being cut. Awesome!

Water assisted liposuction is the newest innovation in liposuction. It is performed under tumescent anesthesia (the fluid placed in the area of liposuction contains numbing medication). Fluid is placed in the area of sculpting using a strawlike cannula. Fat is then removed using a cannula that has a jet sprayer at it's tip. The jet spray of fluid loosens the fat so that it can be suctioned less traumatically. The fat that is removed can then be transferred to other parts of the body. Imagine taking unwanted fat from your thighs or belly and transferring to your face.

Dr Johns Myers from Baltimore treated a large number of patients with a nutritional IV cocktail. hCG Diet

The hcG diet or Simeons protocol is a quick weight loss program using the hormone hcG. This protocol was created over 60 years ago. It combines the use of hcG with a very low calorie diet to facilitate loss of fat. It is not unusual for patients to lose 20 pounds to 35 pounds during a six week program. We have seen patients who have had extreme difficulty losing weight with other programs have success with hcG. The diet is very specific regarding food composition and the time that food is ingested. Once off the program, it is very important to limit carbohydrate intake in order to maintain the results. Our patients have told us that with the success they have seen with this diet, they alter their relationship to food and no longer live to eat but eat to live.

The FDA has approved injectable hcG for use in Infertility but has not approved it's use for weight loss.

Botax

The current health reform program has included a 5% tax on cosmetic procedures including Botox and other cosmetic procedures. The funds used would go towards financing the new health care reforms. Unfortunately, the group of people who would be penalized with this program would be middle class women. Physicians would be tax collectors and forced to negotiate the bureaucracy and red tape that often accompanies tax collecting and reporting.
